Use of plastics - There's more to plastic

In debates about environmental problems, the plastic industry has increasingly been criticized over the years. Is plastic harmful to the environment as much as it is said to be? It’s true that plastic waste is a major problem plaguing landfills and oceans all over the world but have you thought about how plastic ends up either in the ocean or in landfills.

Intentionally or unintentionally, by throwing recyclable plastic in the bin, littering and flushing products that go down the drain, we send plastic to the ocean.

Plastic is not evil if used correctly. With proper handling & recycling habits, it is precious with its numerous benefits to society.

    Healthcare

Plastic is an irreplaceable material in the healthcare sector. Almost 50% of the material consumed in this industry is made from plastic. Plastic has been used widely to create medical tools and devices like surgical gloves, syringes, insulin pens, IV tubes, catheters, inflatable splits, etc. Such products are created for one-time use and help prevent the spread of dangerous diseases by eliminating the need to sterilize and re-use a device.

    Automotive

Plastic has become one of the key materials required for the structure, performance and safety of automobiles because of its lightweight. This improves fuel efficiency and lowers greenhouse gas emissions.

    Construction

Contractors, specifiers, and architects choose plastic pipe systems over rigid pipes because they’re durable, affordable, and have a long service life. These pipes are commonly made up of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyethylene.

Plastic materials can also be found inside your house, your flooring, window frames, insulation, etc. PVC Flooring is a popular style of plastic flooring. Its waterproof features resist the formation of mold and mildew in damp places like showers or basements.

    Food Packaging

Innovative plastic packaging for food, benefits us, consumers, in unimaginable ways possible. It helps reduce food waste, extends the freshness of food and reduces contamination and spoilage during manufacture and transport. Earlier, it was not possible to live in Dubai and import food from all around the world. As a result of plastic, you are able to safely experience new food tastes. The light and sturdy nature of plastic packaging helps with transporting goods and leads to less fuel usage.
